How can a man be absolved from his oath: "By Allah Almighty, you are divorced with three pronouncements, divorced with three pronouncements, divorced with three pronouncements, if your family brings anything"?

Scholars have differed regarding the ruling on an oath of divorce. The majority of them hold that it is a conditional divorce that takes effect as a triple divorce upon the occurrence of the condition sworn upon. Whereas Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and those who agreed with him hold that it is an oath like other oaths, requiring expiation for the oath. It is advised to refer the matter to a Sharia court. One must be cautious about using the word "divorce" due to the family disintegration it causes.
