What is the ruling regarding a man who swore three oaths to divorce his wife if he did not do such and such, and he did not do it?

A person's oath by divorce has two scenarios: either he specifies a time limit for his action, in which case he breaks his oath after the expiration of the time limit, or he does not specify a time limit, in which case he does not break his oath unless the action becomes impossible. In the event of breaking the oath, if the three oaths of divorce were uttered in a single phrase, then three divorces occur, and his wife becomes unlawful for him until she marries another man. If the oaths were separated, then a single divorce occurs. As for the phrase "You are divorced, divorced, divorced," reference should be made to the aforementioned fatwa. According to the view of Ibn Taymiyyah, an expiation for an oath is required if he did not intend divorce, and a single divorce occurs if he did intend it.
