What is the ruling on irregular, uncontrolled urinary incontinence, whether it occurs frequently or infrequently, or if the person experiencing it does not know whether it is frequent or infrequent? Does it take the ruling of permanent incontinence? What should someone do who does not feel the urine exiting except by looking? Is he required to monitor the time of its exit? And what should he do if he fears that looking will cause incontinence?

The matter is straightforward. You are not required to search and inspect for the exit of urine. Build upon the original principle, which is that nothing has exited. If you are absolutely certain that urine has exited, then you have two situations:

1. If you know a specific time for its cessation: You must wait until that time to perform ablution (wudu') and pray with a sound state of purity. 2. If you do not know a specific time for its cessation: Your ruling is that of one afflicted with perpetual discharge (sals). You perform ablution after the time for the prayer begins and pray with your ablution as many obligatory and supererogatory prayers as you wish until that prayer time ends. What exits from you then will not harm you.

As for removing impurities if the discharge ceases, the majority of scholars obligate it, while the Malikis do not.
