Is the mixing and romantic relationships between men and women a sign of openness or backwardness, and what is the religious ruling on that? Is he who rejects them considered backward? And why is he who deviates from religious rulings described as open-minded? And what is the response to those who say, "Allah is the one who judges"?

Allah has informed us that the devils among mankind and jinn inspire one another with adorned speech to deceive. Among their stratagems is to label what the Sharia praises with repulsive names (such as "backwardness"), and to label what it forbids with embellished names to make it appealing (such as referring to the mixing of men and women as "open-mindedness"). Therefore, a Muslim must not be deceived by these stratagems and must be insightful about their religion. An evil act does not become good by changing its name. The mixing of men and women in a manner that arouses suspicion is a forbidden and evil mixing, and it is the epitome of degradation. Honor and goodness in this world and the Hereafter are only achieved by adhering to the Prophetic guidance. Allah has legislated the separation between genders due to the great benefit it holds for His servants. And whoever criticizes those who censure them, claiming that Allah alone will hold them accountable, has erred, for Allah holds accountable whoever saw an evil act and was able to denounce it but did not.
