Is what happened to her due to her not adhering to the fatwa? Will she be rewarded for not seeing the young man out of fear of Allah, and for the times she did not answer him? Is her telling the young man "I will commit suicide" so he would leave her considered a sin? Does she have to fulfill her oath to harm herself if he speaks to her again? Is what happened to her due to her not listening to the fatwa considered fate?

You must repent to Allah and sever ties with the young man, for true repentance involves avoiding the causes of sin. When a servant repents, Allah accepts their repentance. Striving against one's soul to repent and stay away from sins is among the best good deeds. If you intend to commit a sin but abandon it for Allah's sake, a complete good deed will be written for you. Regarding the oath, if you intended to do something permissible, you are allowed to do it or offer expiation for it. However, if it was an impermissible act or one that would lead to corruption, then offer expiation for your oath and do not do it. Threatening suicide is a clear abomination and one of the gravest major sins. Do not preoccupy yourself with the young man's accountability or his punishment in the hereafter; instead, focus on achieving repentance and rectifying yourself. It is not permissible to burn the body as a form of self-discipline. Self-rectification is achieved through patience, struggle, and seeking Allah's help.
