What is the ruling on looking at the knee or thigh of a person in cartoon drawings?

A man's knee is not 'awrah (private parts that must be covered). As for the thigh, there is a difference of opinion regarding it. According to the view that it is not 'awrah, it is permissible to look at it in cartoon films and the like, especially since cartoon images are not considered in the same ruling as real images, according to Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen.
