What is the ruling on looking at images in sports applications that display drawings of men or women with their 'awrah exposed, such as the knee and part of the thigh, or the abdomen, knowing that these are simplified drawings and not lust-inducing?

There is no harm in drawings of men and women for the purpose of teaching sports, as long as they do not arouse desires, for they are not like real pictures. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen mentioned that cartoon images in human form are not to be treated the same as real pictures.
