Is it permissible for a man and his wife to watch cartoon animations that depict characters in sexual positions—"without showing the major private parts"—and feature "symbolic breasts" of a cartoon girl, which are claimed to be "not arousing" and "primarily educational," for the purpose of educating the wife and applying these positions in a permissible way?

Concerning this matter, we only have what we previously mentioned about the prohibition of viewing such naked images. There is no difference between a heavily exposed 'awrah and a lightly exposed one in the prohibition of looking at them. These drawings stir and arouse lust due to their advancement in drawing, production, and audio or motion stimulants, and no sane person would deny that. Allah Almighty says: "Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts. That is purer for them. Indeed, Allah is Acquainted with what they do." And the need of spouses to know methods of intimacy can be met by reading specialized scientific books and articles that adhere to the regulations of Sharia.
