Is it permissible to watch cartoon and animated sexual films if they do not distract one from religious obligations and do not lead to forbidden acts, knowing that their characters are not real human beings?

Sexual animated cartoons pose a great danger to children and the family, negatively affecting their morals due to the indecent scenes they contain. Islamic law has deduced their prohibition, and the fatwa has presented a number of proofs for this prohibition, including:

1. The command to lower the gaze, as stated in Allah's Almighty words: (Tell the believing men to reduce [some] of their vision and guard their private parts) An-Nur/30. 2. Allah's Almighty words: (Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart - about all those [one] will be questioned) Al-Isra/36. Watching these cartoons leads to accountability for their viewer on the Day of Judgment. 3. The Hadith: (No woman should touch another woman [in such a way as to describe her to her husband] as if he is looking at her). If describing is forbidden, then watching is even more deserving of prohibition. 4. These cartoons contradict Islamic upbringing, which commands teaching children chastity and modesty.

Based on this, the fatwa confirms the prohibition of producing, importing, selling, buying, and watching these films, and considers parents who allow their children to watch them as sinful.
