Peace be upon you. What is the ruling on watching animated films?

If the drawings violate the ethics of Islamic law, or contradict its doctrines, or diminish its stature, or contain falsification of facts and history, then it is not permissible to watch them. However, if they are free from شرعية (Shar'iyah) prohibitions, then there is no objection to watching and producing them, especially if they contain education or benefit for the Muslim.
