Is the salary earned from working as an architectural draftsman in a tourism project that includes prohibited facilities, such as a dance hall and a bar, permissible, especially given that the work is limited to permissible areas like residential rooms and conference halls, and considering that there is a mosque within the project where the questioner leads prayers and teaches the Qur'an?

The questioner has done well by refraining from working on the construction of places where Allah's prohibitions are practiced, such as alcohol halls and gambling dens. This is because such work constitutes assistance in sin, which is forbidden by the Almighty's words: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." However, there is no objection to working on the permissible parts of the project, such as residential rooms and conference halls, and the earnings obtained from such work are lawful. We ask Allah to grant him success, steadfastness, and reward for his imamate, preaching, and memorization of the Book of Allah. We remind him of the hadith: "The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it," and we advise him to remain steadfast in this important position.
