Does homosexuality affect one's studies?

Sins are a cause for calamities to descend, and repentance is a means for them to be lifted. This is indicated by the Almighty's saying: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is because of what your hands have earned, and He pardons much." It is also supported by Ibn al-Qayyim's statement that sins remove blessings and bring about misfortunes. Sexual perversion is considered among the forbidden acts that cause calamities.
