Is it a sign of the Hour that days will pass quickly and be short?

Among the signs of the Hour is the 'rapprochement of time.' Scholars have differed on its meaning, with the strongest views suggesting that this rapprochement could be either tangible (sensory) or intangible (conceptual).

The intangible rapprochement means the loss of blessing from time, and the ease and speed of communication between places.

As for the tangible rapprochement, it means the physical shortening of days and hours. This has not yet occurred but is possible.

There is no contradiction between these views. Other interpretations include: that the rapprochement means the enjoyment of life, or the convergence of people's conditions in their lack of religious devotion. However, this last interpretation contradicts the apparent meaning of the hadith (definition).
