What is incumbent upon one who masturbated or imagined things while fasting on unknown days of Ramadan? Is it obligatory for her to make up those days or to seek forgiveness? And how can she make up days when she does not know their number?

If the questioner engaged in masturbation during fasting in Ramadan, resulting in the emission of semen, she must repent and make up for the days she missed. If she does not know the exact number, she should make up the number of days she believes, to the best of her estimation, is not less than the corrupted days. However, if it was merely fantasies and no semen was emitted, then there is nothing upon her, because Allah has forgiven this Ummah for what their souls whisper to them, as long as they do not speak of it or act upon it. Nevertheless, a Muslim should elevate themselves above such fantasies and busy themselves with what benefits them, keeping away from what incites lust.
