The estate is distributed after the death of the inheritor. However, it is permissible to divide the wealth among the heirs during the inheritor's lifetime, while he is in good health, provided there is justice between males and females, such that the male is given double the share of the female. If the division occurs during a death-bed illness, it is considered a will that is not permissible for an heir, and it must be within the limits of one-third of the wealth. No one has the right to request the division of the estate from the father if he is suffering from a death-bed illness or an illness that affects his cognition. However, if his illness is not life-threatening, then it is permissible to request that from him. If the father singles out some of his children for money without a valid reason, he must remove this preference or compensate the rest of the children. Otherwise, the money must be returned to the estate to be divided among everyone after his death.
