What is the ruling on distributing inheritance during one's lifetime, and how is an estate consisting of a wife, five daughters, and one son to be divided?
The estate can only be determined, and the heirs and their shares identified, after the death of the deceased, and after settling debts and executing bequests, as Allah Almighty says: "But if you have a child, then for them [the wives] is one eighth of what you leave, after any bequest you [may have] made or debt." And Allah Almighty says: "Allah instructs you concerning your children: for the male, what is equal to the share of two females."
