This work necessitates observing and touching the 'awrah (private parts) of women or men without a need for medical treatment. Therefore, it is a forbidden act that must be abandoned. Whoever gives it up for the sake of Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better. A forbidden act, even if it is not among the things that invalidate fasting, may negate the reward of its doer, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever does not give up false speech and acting upon it, Allah has no need of his giving up his food and drink."
