What should I do with my wife, who threatens to file for divorce over the most trivial reasons, knowing that she is pregnant and her father shares the same mindset, and my previous attempts to deter her have been unsuccessful?

Marriage seeks to achieve stability, tranquility, and happiness between spouses, and this is what they should strive for, especially at the beginning of their marital life and with the presence of a fetus. If the problems are due to political disagreements, discussions about them can be avoided, or each party can respect the other's opinion. It is not permissible for the wife to threaten her husband with divorce or demand it without a valid Shar'i reason, and her insistence on doing so is considered nushuz (disobedience). If the situation cannot be rectified through advice and seeking help from wise people, divorce might sometimes be the best solution to avoid harm and corruption, and the husband has the right to request compensation for it.
