What is the ruling on finding one or two spots upon waking from sleep, without knowing what they are, for the Maliki (follower of Imam Malik's school of thought)?

If, upon waking, you find wetness and are unsure whether it is manī (seminal fluid) or something else, then if your doubt is specifically between it being manī or madhī (pre-seminal fluid), you are obligated to perform ghusl (definition) (ritual bath). This is the well-known ruling among the Malikis. However, if the doubt involves more than two possibilities (such as manī, madhī, wadī [prostatic fluid], or urine), then ghusl is not obligatory.
