Is the supplication for alighting a place recited upon entering the university and at every location within it, or only once upon entering the university? And is it recited when visiting people in their homes, or only upon entering the building?

If the university is in another town, upon entering it, it is prescribed to recite the supplication for entering a village: "O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and all that they shade, and Lord of the seven earths and all that they carry, and Lord of the winds and all that they scatter, and Lord of the devils and all whom they mislead, we ask You for the good of this village and the good of its people, and we seek refuge in You from its evil and the evil of its people and the evil of what is in it."

As for the supplication for settling in a place: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," it is recited upon entering any place, whether one is traveling or resident. It is prescribed to say it upon entering the university, and its effect remains until one leaves it. It is said once upon entry, not every time one moves within the place. This supplication is recited even if the place is not expected to have insects, and it does not apply to entering a building but rather to entering the dwelling itself. It is not permissible to slaughter an animal upon moving into a new home to ward off jinn, as this is forbidden and may constitute major shirk.
