Would Allah answer the prayer of my parents if they were angry with me for divorcing my wife? Is my marriage to another woman forbidden, given my dislike for my wife and her neglect, and is divorcing her forbidden?

If it is impossible to continue living with the wife, there is no sin in divorcing her, as Allah Almighty says: (And if they separate [by divorce], Allah will enrich each of them from His abundance). Obedience to parents is not obligatory if they command against divorce, and their invoking curses upon their child unjustly is not accepted, for it is a sin. A man is permitted to marry a second, third, or fourth wife, provided he maintains justice, even if his first wife is complete [in her duties/qualities]. This is better than exposing oneself to temptation. It is advisable to appease the parents and convince them of the need for marriage and the ability to care for the children.
