Is it permissible to sell an apartment through an usurious bank, given that there is no Islamic bank in the country?
It is not permissible to sell an apartment to an interest-based bank or to someone who wishes to purchase it through a transaction with an interest-based bank, due to the assistance this provides in usury. The absence of Islamic banks does not make this permissible, as Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." (Quran 5:2). One who deals with interest-based banks is either a consumer of usury, its client, or an assistant to the usurer. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the consumer of usury, its client, its scribe, and its two witnesses. Therefore, a Muslim must fear Allah, "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out, And will provide for him from where he does not expect." (Quran 65:2-3). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised piety and moderation in seeking sustenance, emphasizing that no soul will die until it has received its full provision and completed its appointed term.
