What is the wisdom behind the prohibition of attaching artificial eyelashes?

Wearing artificial eyelashes is forbidden (haram) because it falls under the category of adding (al-wasl), and it involves altering Allah's creation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, cursed the woman who adds hair and the woman who asks for hair to be added. Altering Allah's creation is among the commands of Satan.
