Is spending 160,000 on a son's marriage and 30,000 on a daughter's marriage considered fair in distribution, or should the daughter's share be brought closer financially to her brother's share?

It is obligatory to equalize among children in giving gifts, and it is permissible to prefer some over others for a legitimate Sharia reason; such as a child's need due to illness, a large family, or seeking knowledge, or to withhold a gift from a transgressor or someone who would use it for disobedience. The more apparent view is that equalization should be between male and female alike, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Equalize among your children in giving gifts, for if I were to prefer anyone, I would prefer women." It is recommended to consult the children and inform them of the matter, and there is no harm upon anyone who voluntarily waives their right.
