What can we do regarding the issue of East Turkestan, and is it permissible to boycott Chinese products because of what China has done to Turkestan? And why do preachers and دعاة (Islamic callers) not speak about this issue, and why are many Muslims ignorant of it?

Muslims must unite, bond, and care for one another's affairs, for they are like one body. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, likened believers in their mutual affection and mercy to a single body, and said that a believer to another believer is like a building, each part supporting the other.

A Muslim should love for his brother what he loves for himself of good, and help his brothers with all the financial aid he can provide, or by raising awareness of their tragedy, mobilizing support for them, and collecting donations.

Praying for them at times of acceptance is obligatory, because a Muslim's prayer for his brother in his absence is answered. One should pray frequently and not tire of it.

Supporting Muslims is obligatory, whether through human or financial aid, because whoever abandons a Muslim, Allah will abandon him, and whoever supports him, Allah will support him.

Relieving their distress and sponsoring orphans and widows is also obligatory, for whoever helps his brother in need, Allah will help him in his need. The sponsor of an orphan and the one who strives for a widow are like a mujahid in the way of Allah.

Striving for their guidance and repentance is important, by delivering Qurans and religious books, establishing memorization circles, and sponsoring their intelligent individuals to study in Islamic countries.

Muslims' own steadfastness in obedience is essential for prayers to be answered and calamities to cease.
