Is the initial complexity of matters an indication of disapproval, and is ease a sign of approval?

We do not know the nature of the matter the questioner intends, whether it is an act of worship or an ordinary matter. We advise performing Istikhara (prayer for guidance) for permissible matters and seeking help through the traditional supplication: "O Allah, there is no ease except in what You make easy, and You make sorrow easy if You wish," as well as the supplication of Yunus and the Greatest Name (of Allah) with certainty. For Allah is more merciful to His servant and grants him what he desires, or diverts evil from him, or saves it for him in Paradise.
