How does Allah make matters easy for His servants, and how does He make them difficult for them?

Among the most important things that facilitate matters are adhering to the piety of Allah and obedience to Him, and supplicating with the words: "O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, by Your mercy I seek assistance; rectify for me all my affairs, and do not entrust me to myself for the blink of an eye," and saying: "O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make the difficult easy if You wish."
