What is the solution for a husband who does not maintain prayer, as he prays one day and leaves it the next, despite being reminded of its punishment in Islam?

A Muslim's observance of prayer is one of the greatest and most important matters in their life, and a sign of their faith and piety. The extent of their observance of prayer reflects their observance of all other religious duties, and vice versa. The husband must know that he is a role model for his family and responsible for them. He will be held accountable for guiding them just as he will be held accountable for providing for their material needs. His neglect of prayer may negatively affect them. The husband should also be reminded of Allah and the responsibility placed upon him. It is not permissible to assert that Allah will not forgive someone or that their place is Hell, as long as they are a Muslim. Allah has warned those who abandon prayer or delay it beyond its time with severe punishment. Allah Almighty says: "Then, there succeeded them a generation who neglected prayers and pursued desires; so they are going to meet evil" (Maryam: 59). And Allah Almighty says: "So woe to those who pray [But] who are heedless of their prayer" (Al-Ma'un: 4-5). If the husband does not respond to advice and continues in his negligence, the wife may seek a divorce from him.
