What is the ruling on the fasting and prayer of one who obtained leave from work for 'Umrah by submitting falsified documents, and then it later became clear that he did not go for 'Umrah?

If he took a leave based on a lie, intending to go for Umrah (definition), then the money taken is unlawful (haram (definition)), and he must repent and return to his work. His prayers and fasting are valid, but lying diminishes the reward of the fasting person, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever does not abandon false speech and acting upon it, and ignorance, Allah has no need for him to abandon his food and drink."
