Is there still hope for repentance for one who feels ill will towards God due to failure at work, and is suffering from depression and shortcomings in worship?

May Allah relieve your distress and facilitate your affairs. The door to repentance is open. Be courageous in facing your problem, and be patient and content with what Allah has decreed, knowing that Allah’s choice is better than your own, and that He is more merciful to you. Trust in His planning and rely upon Him, for whoever truly relies upon Him will not be disappointed, as He, the Almighty, said: "And whoever relies upon Allah - then He is sufficient for him." Strive in supplication and in rectifying your heart. Whatever calamity or failure befalls you, resume work diligently and actively, and persist in repentance and seeking forgiveness, for calamities are due to sins, as He, the Almighty, said: "And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your [own] hands have earned; but He pardons much." Be sure to perform Istikhara (prayer for guidance) and consult those with experience before taking any important step.
