Is the repentance of a servant accepted if he repents but does not do righteous deeds, or must repentance be accompanied by righteous deeds for it to be accepted, and what is the duration of the required righteous deeds?

Repentance is returning to Allah the Almighty, regretting sins, abandoning disobedience, and resolving not to return to them in the future. It is inconceivable for a penitent person not to perform good deeds, because repentance means returning from disobeying Allah to obeying Him. Allah the Almighty has coupled repentance with righteous deeds in the Holy Quran, which indicates the importance of righteous deeds as an integral part of repentance. Righteous deeds related to the sin from which one has repented, such as observing obligations and restoring injustices, are an integral part of repentance. As for other righteous deeds, there is no specific time for them, and the more a penitent person performs, the more complete their repentance will be.
