What is the ruling on a Muslim reading books by Christian missionaries, knowing what they contain, and do you advise him to do so, considering that he is a student of knowledge?

Reading the books of the People of the Book, especially those that promote Christianization and Judaization, is dangerous for non-specialists because it raises doubts and mixes truth with falsehood. Therefore, it is not recommended to read them except for those who specialize in refuting their falsehoods. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded to stay away from the Dajjal for fear of his tribulation. So, staying away from these books is more appropriate, unless the reader is a deeply knowledgeable scholar who understands the doubts of the people and how to refute them. Efforts should be intensified to invite people and connect them with Islam, and to show the extent of the conspiracies plotted against them. A Muslim suffers from the condition of Muslims in the face of widespread Christianization efforts, and people of goodness and Islamic organizations must extend material and Da'wah (preaching) assistance; because missionaries exploit difficult economic conditions to tempt Muslims, and they seek to Christianize the desert strip separating Muslim Arab North Africa from Muslim Black West Africa.
