What should I do about my wife's refusal to move out of our home, which is affected by her mother, and should I divorce her or marry another?

A wife is obligated to obey her husband concerning moving with him to wherever he wishes to reside. Her family is not permitted to prevent her from doing so, nor is she allowed to obey her mother's request for a divorce. Rather, she must obey her husband in what is good, for her husband has more right over her than her parents, and obeying him is more incumbent. The husband is advised to be patient with his wife's mother, and to come to an understanding with his wife, explaining the necessity of her obedience and prioritizing the welfare of her home and children. If reconciliation becomes difficult, wise individuals can be brought in to mediate a reconciliation or to agree upon a divorce outside of the courts.
