Is persistently shaving the beard and feeling repulsed by it considered among the major sins?

Shaving the beard is a minor sin, but persistence in it elevates it to a major sin. Disgust towards it is often due to natural inclination rather than religious law; it is not out of dislike for the Sunnah of the Prophet or the ruling of Islamic law. Otherwise, the matter would exceed the bounds of a major sin.
