Is shaving the beard out of a presumed fear of harm considered minor Shirk?

If it is predominantly thought that shaving the beard does not diminish the standing of the one who does it, then shaving it is not considered a sin or shirk (polytheism), because predominant thought takes the place of certainty. However, if the thought is weak and merely a possibility, then it is not valid to consider it a justification, and in this case, shaving the beard remains a sin. But not every sin is considered minor shirk. Sheikh Al-Uthaymeen clarified that sins can be considered a form of shirk in the general sense, but in the specific sense, they are divided into: major shirk, minor shirk, major sin, and minor sin.
