Is zakat obligatory on inherited and undivided gold, the heir's share of which exceeds the 85-gram threshold after combining it with the husband's gold, and how is it calculated, and is the husband obliged to pay it?

The majority of scholars do not obligate Zakat on jewelry prepared for personal use, based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "There is no Zakat on jewelry," and this was the opinion of a number of companions. Although the opinion that Zakat is obligatory is more cautious, if the inherited portion of gold does not reach the minimum threshold (nisab), then there is no Zakat on it unless the total gold owned by the questioner (inherited + gifted) reaches the legal nisab (85 grams), and a complete lunar year has passed over it; then she should pay Zakat on it. There is no need to ask the brothers to divide the gold; rather, the questioner can calculate her share and add it to her other gold, then pay Zakat on one-quarter of one-tenth of it or its market value. Zakat is obligatory on the wife's wealth, not her husband's wealth, but there is no harm if the husband wishes to pay it.
