Is it permissible to divorce due to snoring?

Snoring is not a defect that permits the annulment of marriage. However, if it causes severe harm that prevents sleep, it may be a justification for divorce (talaq (definition)) or khul'. A woman is not permitted to seek a divorce without a legitimate Shar'i reason. It is advisable to be patient and seek treatment for snoring. If treatment is not possible, the spouses can separate temporarily or adapt to the situation. Divorce should be the last resort.
