What is the ruling on uttering phrases such as: "He is lucky," "His luck is bad," "He has no luck," "Luck did not favor him," "Bad luck befell him," "I met him by chance," and "It was a coincidence"?

There is no objection to using the phrase "lucky" as per the Almighty's saying: (And none is granted it except one having a great portion/luck). And "bad luck" means a bad portion, and "he has no luck" means he has no portion. There is also no objection to the word "coincidence" in Sharia, as it means something that occurred without prior agreement or appointment, and it is indicated by the Friday hadith: "There is an hour in it that no Muslim coincides with while he is praying, asking Allah for a need, but He will give it to him."
