Is it permissible to sell a kidney for the purpose of getting married with its price?
The sale of human organs is absolutely forbidden. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has stated that it is impermissible to subject human organs to sale. However, the matter of the beneficiary offering money to obtain an organ out of necessity, or as a reward and honor, is subject to juristic reasoning and consideration. We are reminded of the verse from the Quran: "And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah enriches them from His bounty" (Quran 24:33), and the advice of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "O young people, whoever among you can afford to marry, let him do so, for it helps him lower his gaze and guard his chastity. And whoever cannot afford to marry, let him fast, for it will be a restraint for him."
