What is the ruling on taking a percentage of the agreed-upon rental price in exchange for bringing tenants to my company?

There is no harm in a man working as a broker for you for a known wage to bring you customers from his company. The permissibility of a wage is indicated by the saying of Allah the Exalted: {And for he who produces it is [the reward of] a camel's load, and I am responsible for it.} (Yusuf, 72). This is a foundation for the permissibility of a reward for guidance or brokerage. It is permissible to say: "Sell this garment, and whatever exceeds such and such amount is yours." As for making the reward an unknown percentage, there is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding that.
