Is performing the Fajr Sunnah immediately after Fajr prayer and before the Fajr time expires considered a make-up (Qada') or on-time (Ada') performance?

Scholars have differed regarding the permissibility of performing the Fajr sunnah (supererogatory prayer) after the obligatory prayer and before sunrise. Among those who permitted its performance, there were varying opinions among the jurists as to whether it is considered an 'ada' (performance within its prescribed time) or a qada' (making up a missed prayer). The Hanbalis and the majority of scholars hold that it is a qada'. In contrast, the Shafi'is view it as an 'ada' even if its preferred time has passed, becoming a qada' only after the time for the obligatory prayer has elapsed.
