Is it permissible to say the supplication: "O Allah, I ask You by Your Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, the Prophet of Mercy, and I ask You by the virtues of Surat al-Waqi'ah, and its properties, and its blessings in this world and the Hereafter, grant me and bestow upon me without toil or hardship. O Allah, make my provision easy for me from what is lawful, and make it my portion, and answer my prayer by the right of Surat al-Waqi'ah, and by the sanctity of our master Muhammad and his pure and good family and all his companions. I ask You to send prayers and peace upon our master Muhammad and his family and all his companions"?

This supplication is not authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, nor from his Companions. No scholar has deemed it desirable.

The supplication contains violations, including: 1. Asking by "the sanctity of Your Prophet" and seeking intercession through "right" (haqq) and "status" (jah). This is an innovation, according to the more preponderant opinion. 2. Seeking intercession through Surat Al-Waqi'ah and its virtues and properties. It is not authentically established that it possesses a specific virtue, and what has been narrated concerning its virtues is weak.

Therefore, this supplication should not be recited, and the authentically reported supplications are sufficient and enriching.
