Is it legislated for a judge to psychologically pressure a suspect and corner him with evidence to prove crimes between him and God, such as adultery, sodomy, drinking alcohol, and pornography addiction?

The hadd (prescribed punishment) is established by bayyinah (clear evidence, i.e., witness testimony) or by confession. Once established, it is obligatory for the ruler to implement it. It is legislated to prompt the confessor to retract his confession, as Islamic law does not seek to establish hudud punishments but rather to conceal sins. It is reprehensible to encourage confession. It is recommended for the ruler or those present to allude to the confessor the possibility of retracting his confession, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did with Ma'iz and others.
