Is it permissible to delay or pay zakat in installments due to the unavailability of sufficient funds to disburse it, especially when trading in real estate while awaiting its sale?

Zakat must be given out immediately. However, if this is difficult due to lack of liquidity or the inability to sell enough to cover the zakat, then there is no harm in delaying it. Real estate purchased with the intention of selling it when its price increases is considered a trade commodity, and zakat is obligatory on its value when a full year has passed on the original capital used to purchase it, whether its value has increased or decreased, as long as the person owns no less than the nisab.
