What is the ruling on wearing the niqab during Umrah for someone with weak eyesight who wears glasses, and lowering a light niqab cover over them instead of a heavy, full cover that obstructs vision?

The niqab (face veil) and gloves are among the prohibited acts during Ihram for Hajj or Umrah, based on the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) saying: "A woman in Ihram should not wear the niqab, nor wear gloves." The woman in Ihram must remove the niqab and gloves, and let down her head covering (khimar) to cover her face when strange men pass by. Uncovering the eyes does not contradict the legal hijab if the rest of the body is covered, especially out of necessity, while being careful not to adorn them.
