Does a follower make prostration after the salaam of a silent prayer in which he read a verse of prostration?

If the congregant recites a verse of prostration (Ayat as-Sajdah) during prayer, he should not prostrate [then] because it would contradict the Imam. Nor should he prostrate after the prayer due to the lengthy separation between the recitation and the prostration. Imam An-Nawawi said: "If he delays, and the separation is short, he prostrates. But if it is long, it is missed." Imam Ar-Ramli said: "The prostration of recitation is missed by a lengthy separation after reciting its verse." And Ibn Qudamah mentioned that if one recites a verse of prostration in prayer and does not prostrate, he should not prostrate thereafter.
