What should one do who recites a surah containing a prostration (sajdah) while praying behind the imam?
Do not prostrate, because following the Imam is obligatory, while the prostration of recitation is a Sunnah. It is not permissible for the congregant to prostrate, and if he prostrates intentionally, knowing the prohibition, his prayer becomes invalid.
