What is the ruling on my leading Muslims in prayer while I have urinary incontinence that lasts for about an hour, knowing that I have memorized a lot of the Qur’an and am distinguished by a good voice and proper recitation?

If the emission (hadath) stops for the person with incontinence for a time sufficient for purification and prayer before the time for prayer expires, then he is not considered among those with continuous incontinence (sahib al-sils). He must await the cessation of the urine, then purify himself and pray, and he should not pray before that. If he leads people in prayer after his emission has ceased and he has purified himself, there is no harm in that; in fact, it is preferable if he is the most knowledgeable in recitation of the Quran. However, if the urine does not stop for a time sufficient for purification and prayer, then he is considered to have urinary incontinence (sils al-bawl).
