ما المقصود بمصطلحي "حديث مرفوع" و "حديث مقطوع" في علم الحديث؟

Hadith is divided, according to its speaker, into four categories:

1. Hadith Qudsi: That which the Prophet (peace be upon him) attributed to his Lord, the Almighty. 2. Hadith Marfu': That which is attributed to the Prophet (peace be upon him), whether it is a saying, an action, an affirmation, or a description. 3. Hadith Mawquf: That which is attributed to a Companion, whether it is a saying, an action, an affirmation, or a description. It may also be applied to what came from others besides the Companions, with a qualification. 4. Hadith Maqtu': That which is attributed to a Tabi'i (successor), whether it is a saying, an action, an affirmation, or a description. It is also called "Al-Athar."
