Is the "recovering/being pardoned" in the Hadith "All of my Ummah are pardoned except for those who publicize their sins" in this world, or in the Hereafter, or in both? And does it mean forgiveness and pardon for the one whom Allah has concealed? And will Allah punish a servant for a sin that He concealed, and then that servant disclosed his concealment, even if he repented?

The Hadith states: "All of my Ummah are pardoned except for the Al-Mujahirin (those who make their sins public). And indeed, among making sins public is that a man commits an act at night, and then in the morning, while Allah has concealed it for him, he says, 'O so-and-so, last night I did such and such.' He spent the night with his Lord concealing him, and in the morning, he uncovers Allah's concealment from himself." The term "pardoned" (معافى) can mean either forgiven or concealed. As for someone who reveals Allah's concealment of himself and then repents, the more preponderant view is that the revelation is another sin for which repentance is required.
